District Chief Executive Leads Distribution of “Nkoko Nkentenkente” to Farmers in Sekyere South Municipality

On 20 January 2026, the District Chief Executive for Sekyere South Municipal, Hon. Evans Amoh Twumasi, led the distribution of Nkoko Nkentenkente (local poultry) to registered farmers within the Municipality. The initiative forms part of government efforts to promote local livestock production and aligns with the President’s vision of strengthening the agricultural sector, enhancing food security, and reducing the nation’s dependence on imported poultry and associated costs. The distribution is expected to support farmers to expand their poultry enterprises, improve household incomes, and contribute to sustainable local economic growth. Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Twumasi emphasized the importance of commitment, proper animal husbandry practices, and accountability to ensure the long-term success of the programme.
