NATIONAL YOUTH AUTHORITY (N.Y.A)

INTRODUCTION

The National Youth Authority was established in 1974 by NRDC 241. It is thus, a statutory public organization with the mandate to co-ordinate and facilitates youth empowerment activities in Ghana to ensure the development of the Ghanaian youth as whole.

VISION

Inspire the youth to develop the aptitude for creativity, innovation and selfdiscovery in improving their quality of life.

Inculcate in the youth strong sense of self-reliance, patriotism, nationalism and volunteerism.

OBJECTIVES

The youth must be challenged with opportunities to actively lead in matters that affect them, their communities and the nation.

The youth must strive to attain their aspirations based on respect for freedom, justice, democratic rights, values, work ethics, our cultural heritage and uphold human rights.

FUNCTIONS

Formulate policies and implement programmer that will promote in the youth that's a sense of creativity, self-reliance, leadership, loyalty to the country.

Services and maintenance of all ICT tools in all decentralized departments and units of the assembly.

Develop the capacity of the youth to participate in decision making at all levels.
